2015-06-02 , Updated 2015-06-16 00:00

The exhibition Amber Differently, presenting unique amber cosmetics, as well as amber culinary delights and jewelry, also linen production and degustation of national cuisine awaits Irish travel operators and representatives of local mass media on June, 3rd duringthe presentation of Lithuanian tourism possibilities in Dublin. This event is organized by Lithuanian State Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy and Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ireland.

‘Seeking to raise awareness of Lithuania in Irish tourism market and to increase inbound tourism flow to Lithuania, we need to continuously form steady and recognizable image of our country. So this time we are going to Dublin carrying the message that Lithuania is the country of amber’, points out Jurgita Kazlauskiene, Director General of the State Department of Tourism.

Lithuania’s joining the Eurozone by adopting the euro at the beginning of this year is another important message for Irish tourists. It serves as a guarantee for high quality tourism services for reasonable price.

During this B2B event Lithuania would also be officially introduced as a destination, which was awarded with the third place among ten most recommended places to visit in 2015 by the Lonely Planet, the world's most popular travel guide. Probably this fact has attracted many Irish travel journalists and writers to take part in the event, including journalists from popular Irish daily ‘Sunday Independent’ and travel editor of ‘Sunday World’.

In their presentations of the most attractive tourism services, products and news Lithuanian tourism business suppliers, such as representatives of 5 stars hotels ‘Ramada Hotel & Suites’ and ‘Vilnius Grand Resort’ would emphasize possibilities of city breaks for the weekend providing the information on how to access our country, what routes to choose there, what things to experience.

The representatives of Irish travel operators ‚Eurasia Travel‘, ‚Travel Escapes‘, ‚Joe Walsh Tours‘ and others, as well as the ‚Dublin Holiday World Show‘ would participate in the presentation of Lithuanian tourism possibilities.

Members of Lithuanian community in Dublin would hold musical performance during the event.

During the first quarter of 2015, the growth of Irish tourists flow in Lithuania reached 14.2 %. Last year the total of 4.100 Irish tourists stayed at Lithuanian accommodation establishments. All together they spent 8,800 nights in our country.

The event will be held on 3rd of June, at 12:00, at O'Callaghan Davenport Hotel (8/10 Merrion Street Lower, Dublin 2). Further information: events1@tourism.lt, indre.slyziute@tourism.lt or ph.no. +370 5 266 0060.
