Get acquainted with this pure and authentic destination during the tourism event.

The Lithuanian State Department of Tourism invests in the Dutch tourism industry by bringing Lithuanian partners to Amsterdam to get acquainted with the travel industry and press. This tourism event will take place on Wednesday May 7th at the ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’ in Amsterdam, from 18h30 – 22h30. The attending partners are Vilnius Tourism, Astrida Travel and Camping Obuoliu Sala.

“It is with great pleasure that we can get better acquainted with the Dutch tourism industry”, says Ms Dr. Raimonda Balnienė, Director State Department of Tourism Lithuania. “We feel that Lithuania has a lot to offer, especially for the Dutch. However, we need to educate both trade and consumers on the variety of our country and all the unique selling points we have. That’s our main goal with this visit. Furthermore statistics show Lithuania was visited by 2.1 mio visitors in 2013 vs. 1.9 mio in 2012. In 2012 the Netherlands reached the 18th spot with 17.400 tourist arrivals. According to the estimations of the Lithuanian State Department of Tourism, in 2013 the number of tourist arrivals from the Netherlands increased with 9.2% to 19.000 arrivals“.

The event starts in the evening at 18h30 and will be opened with a presentation of the Lithuanian State Department of Tourism by the Director General Mrs. Dr. Raimonda Balnienė, highlighting the importance of the Dutch market for Lithuania and giving an insight in the tourism opportunities for Lithuania in relation to the Dutch market. The presentation will be followed by a workshop, where all participants are able to network with the partners from Lithuania.

Feel the real hospitality of Lithuania by enjoying a warm buffet after the speed date sessions in a typical Lithuanian atmosphere. Taste and feel local products from Lithuania such as goat cheese, black bread, herbal tea and national drinks.
